Personal Statement

My teaching philosophy is rooted in access, experimentation, and reflection. I believe all students are capable of artistic expression when given the tools, space, and encouragement to explore. My classroom emphasizes material exploration, personal voice, and interdisciplinary connections—especially for students who have historically been excluded from or underrepresented in the arts. As an artist and educator, I draw on my experiences in public education, trauma-informed teaching, and disability justice to create inclusive learning environments that center student identity and creative risk-taking.
