W Magazine spotlighted alum Clare Rojas (MFA 2002), interviewing her about the evolution of her artistic career and her experience navigating the art world. “I had an epiphany that for a lot of institutions, I was a checkmark—a woman, a lower-class woman, a Latina woman,” she shared. “I was supposed to talk about the oppression that I felt, the sexism. Which is all really important, but I'm a dimensional person.” Rojas presented work in her solo exhibition Here We Go from May 4 to 22 at Jessica Silverman in San Francisco.
