Assistant Professor Lee Blalock was featured on The National News Podcast discussing art and technology forging the future.

James Cohan staged an exhibition of new works by Professor Michelle Grabner from March 5 through April 3 at 291 Grand Street. 

Professor Linda Keane was elevated to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) College of Fellows

Associate Professor, Adj. Eric Leonardson gave a talk on the World Listening Project and sound ecology and how it is an indicator of environmental health for the Kalinga Centre for Rainforest Ecology on World Forest Day.

Assistant Professor Eva Marxen was invited to present the autoethnography book Voices from Diversity with the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes in Mexico. Two reviews of her book were also published in the journals Body, Movement, and Dance in Psychotherapy and Teknokultura.

Associate Professor Dushko Petrovich’s publishing company Paper Monument released a new book, Best! Letters from Asian Americans in the arts, featuring letters that capture "an unprecedented moment in politics and society through the experiences of Asian-American artists, curators, educators, art historians, editors, writers, and designers.”

Associate Professor Jina Valentine was a contributor to Thresholds 49: Supply.

Professor Emeritus Xavier Toubes Vilarino is a finalist for the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2021.

Associate Professor Mechtild Widrich gave a talk titled “Performative Monuments” with London Metropolitan University in early March. Widrich has also been invited to serve on a committee to discuss the potential removal of a prominent statue of the former mayor of Vienna.

Assistant Professor Jade Yumang’s work is featured in High Touch at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. The exhibition will run through March 2022.
