Current Student Sylvia Bowersox Spotlighted on Today Show
On November 11, Veterans Day, Sylvia Bowersox, a graduate student in the Performance department discussed the impact of her service dog on NBC Today Show. A three-tour veteran of Iraq, Bowersox returned to the United States with PTSD. Featured in the documentary, To Be of Service, Bowersox speaks of Timothy, her service dog, as her independence. “He’s the fellow that gets me out of the house when I really want to hang out all day,” said Bowersox.
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
