David Heo Included in Chicago Magazine's Fall Culture Guide

David Heo (BFA 2014, MFA 2018) was recently featured in Chicago magazine in its fall culture guide about his upcoming solo exhibit and the origins of his art career. The article describes Heo’s work as “tender portraits of young Asian Americans are intimate musings on everyday life: friends exchanging looks, a couple on the dance floor, a lone CTA rider.” Heo’s solo show, David Heo: Leviathan will exhibit at Boundary gallery in Morgan Park from September 28 through October 26.

Additionally, artist duo Luftwerk comprising Petra Bachmaier (BFA 1999) and Sean Gallero (SAIC 1993–98) has collaborated with Lecturer Iker Gil (Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Designed Objects) for an installation at Farnsworth House, open to the public October 11–13. The article states of the experience, “Laser beams will shoot through rooms, forming a glowing red grid that traces the composition of the famous house and its surrounding topography.”
