Angel Otero Appears in PBS NewsHour's "Brief but Spectacular"
Angel Otero (BFA 2007, MFA 2009) recently appeared on PBS NewsHour's episode "Brief but Spectacular," where he discusses his journey to discovering his artistic voice. In the episode, Otero talks about the origins of his oil skin painting method, which began while he was a student at SAIC. "The blurriness of how things change as our life changes over time is very interesting to me," says Otero of his process and the effects it creates.
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
