Tamer Hassan Takes off with Debut Documentary

Tamer Hassan (MFA 2019) and Armand Yervant Tufenkian will premiere their innovative 16mm documentary Accession at Art of the Real film festival at the Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York. The film was shot over a period of five years and traces an intimate collection of letters, originally written to accompany seed packets sent between friends and family across the United States, which date as far back as 1806, and are poetically narrated as reflections of life in rural America. The film maps a tender correspondence between anonymous people and places with a budding connection.
