Entrepreneur-in-Residence Creates Online Marketplace for Collectors
Pauly Ramirez (BFA 2016) is the chief operating officer of Hermit, a new start-up that uses software to match patrons looking to commission artwork with the perfect artist for the job. At just 24 years old and a first-generation college graduate, Ramirez initially had some trepidation about calling herself an “entrepreneur,” but the support of SAIC mentors ensured she was able to successfully realize her vision. Now with Hermit in the final stages of development and expected to hit the market in the next months, Ramirez is using her experience to help guide other SAIC students as an entrepreneur-in-residence.
