Painters and Sculptors Grants Awarded to SAIC Alumni

This year several SAIC alumni were awarded grants from the Joan Mitchell Foundation's Painters and Sculptors Grant Program. The grant program, established in 1993, acknowledges sculptors and painters who are creating exceptional work by awarding $25,000 to 25 artists every year. Those awarded from the SAIC community are: Ruth Buentello (BFA 2011), Ana Fernandez (BFA 2000, MFA 2005), Jonathan Paul Gillette (Post-Bac 2003, MFA 2005), and Riva Lehrer (SAIC 1993–95).
