Ruba Katrib Named Curator at MoMA PS1

Beginning October 15, Ruba Katrib (BA 2004) will leave her post at SculptureCenter to take over as curator at MoMA PS1.

"As a longtime admirer of Ruba's Work, I am thrilled that she is joining the museum," chief curator Peter Eleey told Artforum. He also praised Katrib for her engagement with worldwide art communities and "her inspired group shows," which generously connect ideas and conversations about contemporary art with "the conditions of life."

Katrib had been at SculptureCenter, located in Long Island City, since 2012. During her tenure as curator there, she organized more than twenty exhibitions—building on her work as an assistant and associate curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami. She is also an Andy Warhol Foundation fellowship recipient, and a cofounder of Threewalls, a residency and contemporary art space in Chicago.
