Are We Going to Live Forever?
Since the beginning of time, humans have seeked an answer to the question, "Are we going to live forever?" but have come up short. Now, the answer may lie at the intersection of art and science.
From the Twilight Zone and Star Trek to George Orwell’s 1984, artists have been helping us imagine artificial intelligence (AI) for decades. Today, technology has caught up with what artists have been dreaming up, and AI is already transforming the way we live, work, and play.
On April 13, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and Illinois Humanities will host a discussion covering the promises and perils of AI in art, science, national security, theology and tech. A panel of experts will provide their insights on man vs. machine, job-taking robots, national security concerns and more:

- Christophe D. Ringer—Assistant Professor, Theological Ethics and Society, Chicago Theological Seminary
