Fashion Student Featured in Vogue Italia and Toksick Mag
Fashion student Oscar Chen (BFA 2017) is becoming quite the Internet sensation. Chen’s designs were recently featured in Vogue Italia for his work with photographer Ethan Alexander and are also on Toksick Magazine’s blog The O.X. Project. Chen told The O.X. Project, “I always see fashion as social confrontation. I believe that every question we project onto fashion leads to a question onto the social construction, so when I design I try to challenge those social stereotypes in fashion.” See Chen’s featured design on Vogue Italia and read more about Chen’s work at The O.X. In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
