Two Alumni Presented with Anonymous Was a Woman Award
Performance artist Tania Bruguera (MFA 2001) and textile artist Sonya Y. Clark (BFA 1993) have each been awarded a $25,000 grant by Anonymous Was a Woman. The award is specifically to women over the age of 40 who are continuing to grow and cultivate their practice. The recipients are selected by nomination only and, as the name implies, the nominators remain anonymous.
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
