Roger Brown Exhibition Recommended by Newcity Art
Shortly before he passed away, SAIC alum Roger Brown (BFA 1968, MFA 1970) completed Virtual Still Life, a series of 27 paintings which combined oil paintings with ceramics from his personal collection. Of these paintings, 11 are currently on view at the Russell Bowman Art Advisory through November 1. Newcity Art recommended the exhibition, as "these last works gather up parts of his collection to dwell with his paintings in the fine art world."
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
