University of Chicago Talks Alliances with SAIC for the Obama Library

The University of Chicago, along with Columbia University, is one of the forerunners in the bid for the Obama Presidential Library and Museum, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The bid for the library will include possible collaborations with 17 Chicago-area schools, including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). The University of Chicago hopes to collaborate with SAIC on urban agriculture as part of this bid. The bids are due this Thursday, with the decision to be made by the Obamas early next year.
