Chicago Magazine Profiles Alum Richard Hunt
SAIC alum Richard Hunt (BA 1957) was recognized in Chicago Magazine for his decades-long presence as a prominent creator of public art. “Sculpture is both my vocation and my hobby,” 80-year-old Hunt explains. Already established as a nationally recognized monument builder, Hunt continues to produce work from his Lincoln Park studio and West Town factory and is currently featured in concurrent retrospectives at the Chicago Cultural Center and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.
In celebration of alum Georgia O’Keeffe: My New Yorks opening current SAIC students were invited to submit artworks inspired by O’keeffe and the city of Chicago.
