Former SAIC Student Spearheads Community Art Project in Palos Park

The Chicago Tribune featured artist and art teacher Liz Wall (CERT), who received her certificate in painting and drawing from SAIC. Wall recently spearheaded a community art project in Palos Park which involved the collaboration of a hundred participants, ages 4 through 80. Under the guidance of Wall and fellow artist Nancy Hammel, each individual contributed a piece of a larger artwork based on a photo of the historic Bridge over Mill Creek, taken by local photographer Jim Pavlatos. The finished work, installed at the McCord Gallery and Cultural Center in Palos Park, is titled It Takes a Village.
