Jeff Koons Retrospective at Guggenheim Bilbao

The Guggenheim Bilbao is hosting the Jeff Koons (HON 2008) retrospective following its exhibition at the Whitney in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The Guggenheim Bilbao, designed by Frank Gehry, was established in 1997 with Koons' Puppy being one its first acquisitions. The Smithsonian quotes Whitney Curator Scott Rothkopf saying, "What could be a better setting than the Guggenheim in Bilbao for an artist who blends the baroque on the one hand with modern styles?"
