A New Exhibition at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art Spotlights SAIC Alumni

A new exhibition at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art (UIMA), “Chicago Connection – Artists from the Post War Period,” focuses on a group of artists who attended SAIC in the 50s and 60s. The UIMA was founded in 1971 by SAIC alumni Konstantin Milonadis and Mychajlo Urban, whose work is featured in the exhibition alongside their peers Seymour Rosofsky (BFA 1949 / MFA 1951), Eleanor Coen (BFA 1950), Ted Halkin, Arthur Lerner, Thomas Kapsalis, Richard Hunt (BA 1957), Robert Kuntz, Donald Vogl (BAE 1957), and Maurice Lapp. Chicago Tonight aired a segment on the show where they spoke with Stanislav Grezdo, curator of the UIMA, about the making of the exhibition and the significance of the artists included.
