SAIC Artists and Northwestern Engineers Team Up in “Data as Art”

An article in Chicago Inno takes a look at the joint course Data as Art offered by Northwestern University and SAIC. In the course, 12 students from each school work together to explore the relationship between engineering research and the arts. The students created five projects that explore ideas such as socioeconomic class structures in Chicago and public spaces contaminated by toxic materials. All five projects are on display in the atrium of the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center on Northwestern's Evanston campus through February 19.
