SAIC Alum Amanda Ross-Ho Is Featured On ARTnews

SAIC alum Amanda Ross-Ho (BFA 1998) is one of many internationally-recognized graduates originally from Chicago. ARTnews recently featured Ross-Ho’s Los Angeles studio on their website, highlighting the artist’s process, a “deconstruction and a careful examination of myriad complexities.” Ross-Ho built upon her studio-based experiences at SAIC and developed her own definition of a productive workspace. She now praises creative environments that feel “readily unresolved,” undoubtedly a byproduct of living in Chicago.

“There’s something actually productive about being uncomfortable,” she told reporter Katherine McMahon. “You can’t be passive—you have to be really intentional about everything.” Ross-Ho previously received praise for her projects at the MCA.
