Current student Elizabeth YJ Seonwoo (BFA 2023) and alums Leah Ra’chel Gipson (MA 2010) and Ivan Lozano (MFA 2011) recently received grants from the 3Arts Awards, a non-profit grant-making organization that has awarded over $5.8 million in funds to over 1,800 artists since 2007. Seonwoo, Gipson, and Lozano received “Make A Wave” artist-to-artist grants, which are given to 10 artists whose work supports Chicago’s cultural communities. The awardees were selected by the previous year’s 3Arts Award recipients and will receive $2,000 each.
