Sofia Gabriel Del Callejo (MAAAP ‘21)

 Sofia Gabriel Del Callejo (MAAAP 21') (Mexico City, 1991) has a BA in Cultural Studies and Management. She is a Mexican art manager with experience in management, marketing, communication, networking, curation, and fundraising. She is interested in rethinking philanthropy and cultural policies, working with emerging and contemporary artists in Latin America, and the dialogue between Feminist activism and Performance.

She worked as Head of Press and Personal Assistant of the Deputy Director at the National Museum of Art in Mexico. She was the Coordinator of Communication and Public Relations of the Mexican sculptor Jorge Marín and the Studio Manager of Tania Candiani. Also, she collaborated with the Office for Cultural Affairs at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the University Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC), Material Art Fair, Gallery Weekend CDMX, the Hyde Park Jazz Festival, among other organizations, as an independent professional. She is currently the Communication Fellow at the Field Foundation of Illinois and works as a Graduate Curatorial Assistant at SAIC Galleries.
