Professor Tim Parsons Receives Lumen Prize

Professor Tim Parsons was awarded The Lumen Prize for the multimedia installation Catalog for the Post-Human (2021), which he created with his partner. Parson’s installation is a boisterous display of consumer grade post-human products that focus on the optimization of the human routine. From accessories that track your productivity, to IVs that remove the need for meal breaks, Parsons' commentary explores our direct competition with artificial intelligence. The prize is given annually to the best work that explores the relationship between society and technology, including work that uses AI, robotics, human-computer interaction, quantum technology, or bio and sustainable technology.
