Stephanie and Bill Sick Professor of Fashion, Body and Garment Professor Nick Cave’s video work, “Ba Boom Boom Pa Pop Pop,” will be projected as part of Art on theMART through September 7, in conjunction with his first career-spanning retrospective, Forothermore, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.

Lecturer Sophie Lucido Johnson’s new graphic memoir, Dear Sophie, Love Sophie, came out with HarperCollins.

Associate Professor, Adj. Marlena Novak’s art collaboration, localStyle, will present the audio-visual installation Choral through June 29 as part of Art on theMART. The project also involved SAIC alums and former students Malu Ayers, Max Crider (BFA 2018), Nathaniel Gillette (BFA 2018), Mak Hepler-Gonzalez, and Snow Shinuo Xu (BFA 2019). 

Assistant Professor, Adj. Asha Iman Veal was in conversation with artist Sunil Gupta as part of the Beautiful Diaspora / You Are Not the Lesser Part exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, which Veal organized as associate curator at the museum.

Professor Lisa Wainwright is a featured speaker at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons 2022 conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Associate Professor Mechtild Widrich is the recipient of a 2022-23 faculty fellowship at the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study under the theme "The Public." On May 13, she will speak in Vienna on a panel she organized entitled "Monumental Cares."
