Kristen McSparren Thomas’ (SAIC ’96) role as Senior Historic Preservation Specialist at Rosin Preservation is to facilitate historic tax credit applications, prepare National Register nominations, conduct historic resource surveys, and prepare conditions assessments. 

She works mainly on the tax credit projects, helping owners and architects interpret the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Preservation as they relate to the property, then negotiating with the state and federal reviewers for requested alterations. As Kristen prepares the applications she has the opportunity to undertake archival research and field investigation which involves thorough photographic documentation.

Kristen, her two children, and husband Hans live in Kansas City.
