Alum Ross Jordan Named a Chicagoan of the Year
The Chicago Tribune recently named School of the Art Institute of Chicago alum Ross Jordan (MFA 2013) and other staff members of the Jane Addams Hull-House as Chicagoans of the Year. Jordan works at the museum as a curator and said of their mission: “People need a history of democracy that feels inclusive.”
The museum, known for highlighting stories from the past while making a meaningful impact today, has hosted initiatives such as glass-blowing workshops for unhoused Chicagoans and ceramic classes for migrant families. Committed to serving as a cornerstone of Chicago’s artist community, the museum’s future plans include collaborating with Court Theatre and other to-be-announced companies to bring live theater back to its space.
