Alum Ross Jordan Named a Chicagoan of the Year

The Chicago Tribune recently named School of the Art Institute of Chicago alum Ross Jordan (Dual MA 2013) and other staff members of the Jane Addams Hull-House as Chicagoans of the Year. Jordan works at the museum as a curator and said of their mission: “People need a history of democracy that feels inclusive.”

The museum, known for highlighting stories from the past while making a meaningful impact today, has hosted initiatives such as glass-blowing workshops for unhoused Chicagoans and ceramic classes for migrant families. Committed to serving as a cornerstone of Chicago’s artist community, the museum’s future plans include collaborating with Court Theatre and other to-be-announced companies to bring live theater back to its space.
