Alum Allison Glenn to Curate 2026 Toronto Biennial of Art
As featured in ArtForum, The Toronto Biennial of Art has named School of the Art Institute of Chicago alum Allison Glenn (Dual MA 2012) as curator of its fourth edition, set for September to December 2026. A respected curator known for her focus on public engagement and social justice, Glenn has held key roles at the Public Art Fund and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, with her acclaimed exhibition Promise, Witness, Remembrance (2021) responding to the unjust police killing of Breonna Taylor. Working alongside a five-member National Curatorial Advisory, Glenn will shape a Biennial that reflects Toronto’s diverse communities, layered histories, and connection to the Great Lakes, fostering dialogue between local and global artists.
