Alum Adreain Guillory's Label Ajovang Featured on Fashionista

Featured on Fashionista, Ajovang is a label founded by School of the Art Institute of Chicago alum Adreain Guillory (BFA 2019) blending whimsical fairytale aesthetics with modern fashion. A cross between Sailor Moon and Cinderella, Guillory’s designs have appeared in Essence and on celebrities like Sheryl Lee Ralph. Centering Black women as ethereal beings, Guillory launched Ajovang in spring 2021. He describes his pieces as "walking sketches," aiming to create cherished lifetime pieces. With a style that incorporates draping, coquettish ruffles, and pastel hues, Ajovang's upcoming collection will debut at Chicago Fashion Week this coming October.
