Fashion bridges cultures—and at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Fashion Resource Center (FRC), visitors can travel the world from right here on campus.
FRC visitors can get a hands-on look at more than 3,000 garments from around the globe, plus thousands of books and periodicals that explore the cross-cultural conversations behind the designs. In this video, Associate Professor and Sage Endowed Chair of Fashion Design Abigail Glaum-Lathbury walks us through three examples that take inspiration from all over the world.
