breakdown: process, language, culture
M.A. Visual & Critical Studies symposium and exhibition by Jordan Barrant, Saida Blair, Carla Burkert, Mira Dayal, Fay Lyssa Fabry, Brady Furlich, Ankit Manandhar Khadgi, Micah Smith, Isabel Sperry, and Thuy-Tien Vo
What lenses and tools do we use to understand our communities, and how does that shape our social and political narratives? In re-examining those tools, can we fracture, slow down, and reframe our personal and cultural stories? In this symposium and exhibition, Visual and Critical Studies graduate students explore subsets of these questions through forms ranging from oral histories and art historical studies to sculptures and screenplays.
